DRAGOON OFFICER'S HELMET

This is a model 1858 dragoon officer's helmet from the reign of Napoleon III.  The leather backing is detached from the chin chain but otherwise the helmet is in very good condition, retaining its fine gilt finish, undoubtedly because it has been stored all these years in its original carrying case. which is included with the helmet
