Letter Signed by Marechal Louis-Alexandre Berthier on January 2,1802 appointing his brother Cesar Berthier as Inspector of Revenues. In a handwritten note at the bottom left Berthier indicates that Cesar is ill and he will need to report only when he is recovered. Document is in fine condition and the signature is bold. Letter is written on Berthier’s letterhead as Minister of War.
