Bronze medallion commemorating the attempt on Napoleon's life in 1800. This medallion commemorates the unsuccessful assasination attempt by the so-called “infernal machine” as he was headed to the opera. The obverse has a stunning bust of Napoleon as First Consul. The reverse has a commemorative inscription.  For condition, I’d rate this medallion as “about uncirculated (AU).”
