One of Napoleon's greatest legacies to France is the Legion of Honor, the first order of chivalry that was open to all citizens, not just members of the nobility. Since its founding in 1804, it continues to be the nation's highest honor for its citizens.

Our "Legion of Honor" is in no way related to the real order, but is our way of recognizing those whose generous financial contributions do so much to support our organization.

The Napoleonic Historical Society is registered as a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation. Members pledging an annual tax-deductible contribution in any of the five classes below receive their names inscribed in calligraphy on a beautiful certificate of membership.  Members of the Emperors Inner Circle, Marshalate, and General Staff categories are also invited to a black-tie presidential dinner on Thursday evening prior to the Annual conference.

Marshalate members also receive a replica of a Marshal's baton

General Staff members also receive a gold- plated crowned N pin.

Aides de Camp also receive a sterling silver badge of an aide de camp's brassard

Grenadiers also receive a gold-plated badge of a flaming grenade, the mark of a grenadier in Napoleon's Grande Armée.
