A Gathering of Eagles
Our Annual Conference
Every year the Society sponsors a weekend-long Napoleonic Conference, where our members can meet each other
and participate in a series of lectures, seminars, vendor areas, and social events honoring the Emperor and
his achievements. Although the presentations at this event often reflect the latest historical research on
the period, the conference is more than just an academic gathering: the location changes each year, and the
meeting site is always chosen for its historical and entertainment opportunities. Good fellowship abounds,
and the meals reflect the attention to cuisine that is such a significant part of French culture.

Annual Historic Tours
Every year Our Executive Director, Todd Fisher, organizes a private tour of battlefields, museums,
and other sites connected with Napoleonic History. During the current bicentennial of the Napoleonic era.
These tours will take us to places where the events actually occurred 200 years ago. Todd is one of the
best battlefield guides in the world and the battlefields are always a highlight of every trip.
The Napoleonic Historical Society is separate from, and not affiliated with any Napoleonic Historical Tours.
including but not limited to Todd Fisher's tours. The Society may receive checks or provide credit card
processing for the tour operator, a service which is provided as a convenience for our members and at
a charge to the tour operator. It is important to note that while we endorse these tours, they are
privately run and all legal and financial responsibility lies with the organizers, not the Society.

Regional Meetings
In addition to our Annual Conference we hold regional dinners and other informal meetings in various parts
of the U.S. and Canada, in which members are encouraged to participate, particularly if they cannot
attend the annual conference. At the regional level the NHS also enthusiastically supports
museum shows, films, plays, consular receptions, and other cultural activities related to the Napoleonic period.
